Five members plus one from the Finley District CC headed to Bright to catch the colours of Autumn. We had some nice conditions and while the autumn colour wasn’t at its peak it was still pretty good.
On Saturday morning we did sunrise at Huggins Lookout and then spent most of the day up at Falls Creek visiting Wallace & Cope huts. Also had the privilege of meeting up with Steve Parish for breakfast and he also came with us to Falls.
Steve is currently travelling around Victoria getting images for a new book. On Saturday night we went up to the Horn on Mt Buffalo to shoot some astro. Conditions were clear though condensation on lenses was problematic.
Sunrise Sunday was from Tower Hill overlooking Bright and while the township was fogged out we still had some nice conditions in the valley to the west.
After sunrise we headed out to Porepunkah and got some shots at a vineyard. On the way home a few of us visited Lake Buffalo and Paradise Falls (that wasn’t flowing).
